Happy Father's Day

Well it's been a busy week. I finished up my Sociology class for good now, the final was on Friday. All in all the class wasn't bad but the prof was a complete moron. Never have I had a teacher/professor that frustrates me so much (yep, not even the comp sci profs that don't speak english). But at least I passed and got my credits, and I met a couple of nice people as an added bonus.

So this week also turned into a bit of a gambling streak. I was at the Casino du Lac Leamy on Thursday for a work lunch for someone leaving my division, so we played some slots that afternoon (and I won $7.50). Then a bunch of friends had planned a night at the casino on Friday so I lost my winnings from the day before (plus $5), and then Saturday night was a poker tournament at Patrice's (a guy from work) apartment. I made it to the final table but finished out of the money in 4th place. Not bad but I could have played better.

Soccer also kept me busy this weekend. I played two games on Saturday morning (one as a sub for a team that was short players and one for my own team) and then played one with my other team this afternoon. It was a bit more trying today because added to the fatigue from Saturday was the fact that we had no subs for our full length (90 min) game. And since I was midfield, I ran...a lot. But WE WON!! First victory of the season. And a dominating 3-0 win at that. Now if we can just get on a roll...
